DURHAM, NC - The North Carolina Central University volleyball team took flight Thursday to participate in the Air Force Invitational Volleyball Tournament hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Spring, Colo. This is the second tournament that the Eagles are competing and farther west the team has traveled, in volleyball history. NCCU (0-7) is led by Avaniki Campbell with 33 kills and Nadia Hayes with 24 kills. On the defensive side of the ball, Rachel Lloyd leads the team with 64 digs. The Eagles will take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 11 a.m. (MT) and Kent State at 5 p.m. (MT) on Friday, Sept. 12. On Saturday, Sept. 13, the Eagles will take on Florida Atlantic at 1 p.m. (MT) and tournament host the Air Force Academy at 7 p.m. (MT) at Clune Arena.
