DURHAM, NC - Charleston Southern University defeated the Eagles of North Carolina Central University 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-19) on Friday night in McLendon-McDougald Gym. The Buccaneers (11-6) finished with 36 kills on 31 assists and totaled two service aces. Defensively, CSU held NCCU to 31 kills on 107 attempts and forced 21 attack errors. The Eagles were also limited to nine kills in the second set for a hitting percentage of.094. NCCU would finish the match with a hitting percentage of .093. NCCU (4-18) was led by Avaniki Campbell with 11 kills, followed by Nadia Hayes with eight kills. Rachel Lloyd finished with a team-high 13 digs, while Ashley Shade had 20 assists. Amanda Hill tallied a match-high 13 kills and Ashlee Kadatz had a match-high 16 digs to lead the Buccaneers.
