ORANGEBURG, SC - The North Carolina Central University Eagles dropped their first match of the day on Saturday morning against Charleston Southern in South Carolina State University Spike-Fest. In a tough battle, NCCU fell 3-2 (25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 16-25 and 18-16). NCCU (1-14) enjoyed a two games to none lead before losing the last three games of the match. Three Eagles had a double figure day, as Belinda Benckhe-Biney led the way with a team-high 18 kills, and teammates Avaniki Campbell and Nadia Hayes finish the match with 14 and 11 kills each. Rachel Lloyd and Kristan Fields each had a big match defensively with 19 and 15 digs respectively. Ashley Shade had 50 assists. Charleston Southern was led by Nichole Dillard who had 11 kills and Amanda Hill and Ashley Kadatz each with 10 kills apiece.
