ORANGEBURG, SC - The North Carolina Central University had trouble generating offense, and couldn't slow down an attacking Coastal Carolina squad in dropping their second match of the South Carolina State Spike-Fest. The Eagles fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, and 21-13). NCCU (1-13) generated, only a .060 hitting percentage for the match, meanwhile, Coastal Carolina hit a sizzling .345 for the match, pounding out 40 kills to only 31 for NCCU. The Eagles was led by Belinda Behncke-Biney who recorded eight kills. Rachel Lloyd was the team leader with 6 digs. Coastal Carolina was led by Chelsy Kimes who had nine kills. The Eagles will face Charleston Southern and Wofford on Saturday, the final day of the SCSU Spike-Fest.
