Final Stats

Colorado Springs, CO - The North Carolina Central University volleyball team first match of the Air Force Academy Tournament was against the Islanders of Texas A&M Corpus Christie, who swept NCCU in three games (25-13, 25-11, 25-9) inside the Clune Arena. The loss dropped NCCU to 0-8 for the season.

Coach Crawford Crooks received solid performance from Avaniki Campbell as she led the team with four kills and three total blocks. Rachel Lloyd led the team with 10 digs.

Kasey Mcbrearty led the Islanders with 11 kills, followed by Beth Fionda with eight kills.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2-5) out hit NCCU .263 percent to -.114 percent.

Next the Eagles will take on Kent State.
