A native of Mooresville, N.C., Tony Vanderburg enters the third season of his second tenure with the Lady Eagles basketball program. Vanderburg originally served as an assistant women's basketball coach at NCCU for three seasons from 1996-99. During the 1998-99 campaign, the Lady Eagles won the school's first-ever CIAA Western Division Championship and posted the program's first 20-win season (20-7). Vanderburg attended Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C., where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business in 1985. He was also a member of the Blue Bears basketball team from 1981-85. |
