DURHAM, N.C. - For fans that cannot attend North Carolina Central University's football season-opener against Fayetteville State University on Sunday (Aug. 31) at O'Kelly-Riddick Stadium, the NCCU Department of Athletics has created several options to follow the Eagles. For the second consecutive season, NCCU Athletics has partnered with WRJD 1410 AM to broadcast every Eagles football game. The audio broadcast will also be available via the internet at www.NCCUEaglePride.com. Chris Hooks and Sedrick Dickens will call the live action, starting with the pre-game show at 3:30 p.m. The official NCCU Athletics web site will also provide live statistics through the "Gametracker" interface. Fans will find access to live statistics by selecting the game on the football schedule page (http://nccueaglepride.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/nccu-m-footbl-sched.html). For a different perspective on the game, check out a Live Blog written by an NCCU student with a view of the event from the press box starting around 2 p.m. (http://nccueaglepride.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/083008aab.html) Fans interested in receiving score updates on their cell phone or through e-mail may register for "E-Scores" by visiting www.NCCUEaglePride.com and clicking on the "E-Scores" graphic on the bottom-right of the main page. Fans that are able to attend the games may purchase tickets on-line (http://nccueaglepride.cstv.com/tickets/nccu-tickets.html) or at the NCCU Ticket Office (919-530-5170). Enjoy the game! |
