DURHAM, N.C. - North Carolina Central University has added another recruit to the list of newcomers to the 2008 Eagles football program.

NCCU head coach Mose Rison announced the addition of Andrew Johnson, a 6-3, 200-pound wide receiver from E.E. Smith High School (Fayetteville, N.C.) and N.C. Tech (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Andrew is a very good wide receiver," Rison said. "He runs well, has good ball skills and has a tremendous up-side. We are excited to about having him in the program and expect him to contribute significantly for us this fall."

Johnson had 26 receptions for 561 yards and five touchdowns as a senior at E.E. Smith in 2006. He was then part of an undefeated season at N.C. Tech in 2007.
