Coach Mike McGlinchey enters his first season as defensive line coach for the Eagles.

McGlinchey joins the NCCU staff after spending the past eight seasons as a running backs coach on the sidelines of his alma mater, Towson University. During his Towson tenure from 2001-08, he also served as the Tigers' video and recruiting coordinator, camp director and special teams coordinator.

A 1999 graduate of Towson University with a degree in Sports Studies, McGlinchey was a four-year letterwinner with the Tigers as an offensive guard and tight end. He earned Patriot League All-Academic Team recognition as a senior.

McGlinchey began his coaching career in March of 2000 as tight ends coach at the University of New Hampshire. After spending the spring with the Wildcats, he accepted a job as the tight ends coach with the Princeton University Tigers, where he spent the 2000 gridiron campaign.
