North Carolina Central University "Eagles" (1-14 overall, 0-14 road)

vs.

University of Nebraska "Cornhuskers" (8-2 overall, 8-0 home)

Saturday, December 22, 2007 - 7:00 p.m. (CT)

Bob Devaney Sports Center (13,595) - Lincoln, Nebraska

THE GAME: North Carolina Central University ends a 10-game road swing at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb., playing the Cornhuskers for the first time... Nebraska is the ninth different state (North Carolina, New Jersey, Florida, North Dakota, Maryland, Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky, Nebraska) the Eagles have played in since their first road game on Nov. 12... The Huskers compete in the Big 12 Conference... This is the Eagles' 15th road game of the season and NCCU does not return home until hosting the BC Powder Classic on Dec. 29-30.

THE SERIES: This will be the first meeting between the Cornhuskers of the University of Nebraska and the Eagles of North Carolina Central University.

UP NEXT: NCCU returns home for the first time since Nov. 21 to host the BC Powder Classic on Dec. 29-30. The Eagles host Houston Baptist University on Saturday, Dec. 29, followed by Concord University on Sunday, Dec. 30.

A GOOD START FOR THE EAGLES: NCCU has controlled the opening tip in three consecutive games. NCCU 6-6 senior forward Charles Futrell has won jump balls against UNC Wilmington, Western Kentucky and Creighton. Futrell will have a monumental challenge in the center circle at Nebraska, as the leaper will go toe-to-toe with 6-11, 275-pound senior center Aleks Maric.

AYALA FOR THREE... THE STREAK CONTINUES: NCCU junior guard Bryan Ayala has made a three-point field goal in all but one contest this season (at North Dakota State, Nov. 17), including 11 games in-a-row. He is currently shooting 23-of-73 from long range, a 31.5 percent success rate.

GAME COVERAGE: No NCCU broadcast of this event. Saturday's contest can be heard on the Husker Sports Network live on the Internet on Huskers.com. The Nebraska broadcast will be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio on channel 107.
