Walters enters his third season with the Eagles after playing just two games last year before suffering a season-ending injury. 2006-07: As a sophomore, appeared in two games, averaging 25.5 minutes per contest, before missing the remainder of the season with an injury. Averaged 8.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Amassed team-highs of 15 points and 10 rebounds at Columbus State University (Dec. 30), which turned out to be his final game of the season. 2005-06: As a freshman, played in final 20 games, including five as a starter, after vacating red-shirt status. Averaged 11.6 minutes per contest. Recorded season-highs of seven points and five assists, as well as four rebounds and two steals in first college game at Fort Valley State (Dec. 28). Scored five points against Virginia Union (March 2) in the quarterfinals of the CIAA Tournament. Collected season-best five rebounds twice - at Johnson C. Smith (Jan. 31) and versus Livingstone (Feb. 11). Finished fourth on the team with 22 assists. High School (Kinston H.S.): Lettered three seasons (2002-05). Earned All-Conference and All-State honors. Scored 10 points in the 3-A Sectional Final at Jacksonville High School (Feb. 25, 2005). Scored game-winning basket vs. Wilson Fike (Feb. 21, 2005) in the first round of the 3-A sectional playoffs. Recipient of the 2005 George and Minnie Stackhouse Scholarship presented by the NBA's Jerry Stackhouse for demonstrating good work ethics and a positive attitude.
