Vaskys enters his first season with the Eagles as a true freshman and NCCU's first known international men's basketball student-athlete.

High School (Cape Fear Christian Academy): Averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds as a senior after arriving at the school in mid-January 2007. Team posted a 25-7 record and won the Carolina Christian Conference. Reached the finals in the NCISAA state 1-A championships and the semifinals in the National Association of Christian Athletes tournament in Tennessee. Hit the winning basket against two-time defending state 1-A champion Wilson Greenfield in the state semifinals.
