Sauls enters his first season with the Eagles after transferring from Des Moines Area Community College. Averaged 15.3 points, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 2006-07. Earned all-conference first team honors. Helped team to 31-5 overall record, the Region 12 championship title, and final ranking of fifth in the nation. Also attended Indian Hills Community College.

High School (Des Moines East H.S.): Named first-team all-conference in basketball and football. Chosen first-team all-state in football and third-team all-state in basketball. Iowe record holder in football with three interceptions in a game two years in a row.

Personal: Born February 11, 1987, in Des Moines, Iowa. Parents are Eddie and Sherrie Sauls. Major at NCCU is Art. Father, Eddie, coached by current NCCU Athletics Director Bill Hayes while a football student-athlete at Winston-Salem State University.
