Holloway enters his third season with the Eagles after starting nine games last season. As a Sophomore (2007-08): Played in 29 games, including nine as a starter, averaging 16.7 minutes per outing. Second on the team with a 46.4 field goal percentage. Averaged 3.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest. Scored a season-high 10 points at Colgate (Feb. 23). Grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds versus Concord (Dec. 30) to go along with 9 points and 2 assists. As a Freshman (2006-07): Appeared in 14 games, averaging 7.3 minutes per contest. Averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. In best outing of the season, spurred the Eagles during a come-from-behind win over Virginia State University (Feb. 2) by scoring a career-high 12 points in only 13 minutes of second-half action, shooting 5-of-5 from the field and adding four rebounds, an assist and a steal. Voted CIAA Rookie of the Week (Feb. 5). Collected five points and four boards at Columbus State University (Dec. 30). High School (Rocky Mount H.S.): Lettered two seasons (2004-06) at Rocky Mount (N.C.) High School under head coach Michael Gainey. Also lettered in football as a wide receiver, quarterback and linebacker. Personal: Born June 8, 1988, in Rocky Mount, N.C. Parents are Ervin and Charlotte Holloway. Mother attended graduate school at NCCU in the mid-1970s. Major at NCCU is Mathematics. National Honor Society student. Named to the 2007-08 Division I Academic All-Independent Men's Basketball Team with a 3.38 grade point average. |
