DURHAM, N.C. - A winter storm that dumped a few inches of snow on the field at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park has forced the cancellation of North Carolina Central University baseball doubleheaders on Wednesday against Norfolk State and Thursday versus Longwood.

There are no plans to reschedule those contests at this time.

NCCU has now had its first three home dates cancelled due to wet weather. The Eagles' original home-opener at the DBAP scheduled for Sunday, March 1 against Saint Augustine's was also washed out.

The Eagles will now focus on opening at home on Saturday, March 7 with a doubleheader versus Savannah State beginning at 1 p.m. inside the DBAP. The weekend series with the SSU Tigers will close on Sunday (March 8) with a 1 p.m. game. Admission is free.
