2009: Participated in 40 of 41 contests starting 38 games primarily at third base (30 starts), along with 6 starts at shortstop and 2 in the designated hitter position. One of seven players on the team to hit a home run. Ended the 2009 campaign eighth on the squad with a .229 batting average. Ended up second in at-bats (131), third in plate appearances (144), Third in RBIs (11), tied for fourth (30 hits), tied for fourth with 7 multiple hit games, including two three-hit games (3-for-4 at Duke on April 7, and 3-for-4 at Longwood on April 9). From April 9-13 went 7-for-14 at the plate with 5 RBI along with 2 runs. In the season-finale against UMES went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run, along with 2 runs scored and an RBI. 2008: Finished third on team in RBIs (9) in 28 starts. Scored 8 runs, which was fourth best on the team. March 10 against Norfolk State, 2-for-4, 2 runs, RBI, and a double. March 11 against Coppin State, 2-for-3, scored a run, and an RBI. Had 7 multiple hit games during the season. Ended the season on a five-game hitting streak, April 23-30, going 8-for-20 (.400) and scoring 3 runs, recorded 4 RBIs, with a double. Completed his first season with a .320 on base percentage, and a .270 slugging percentage. Playing mostly shortstop, had 39 assists (second on team), and committed just 6 errors, for a .910 fielding percentage. High School (Bunn H.S.): Three-time All-Conference selection in baseball and football. Selected to the All-Tournament Team three times. Team captured three conference championships.
