2009: Made 15 appearances in his rookie campaign, which tied for third on the team while getting 2 starts on the season. Threw 33.0 innings with a team-low 6.00 ERA, striking out 12 batters which was sixth best mark on the squad while walking 9. His first start at NCCU came on March 10 against Coppin State, where he went 6.0 innings allowing only 4 hits, 2 earned runs with 3 strike outs, earning his first career win. On May 5 at Winthrop tossed 3.2 innings scattering 6 hits but allowed only 1 run and struck out 2. Made one start at second base against Appalachian State (April 30) collecting his first career hit on a 1-for-3 effort at the plate. Also had 2 assists in the infield.

High School (Knightdale H.S.): Played 3 years of varsity baseball. Made just four errors his last two seasons while playing shortstop and second base. Lettered in varsity football for three years. A part of the first class to ever graduate from the high school.
