2009: Ended his second season at NCCU by participating in the fifth-most games (37) and starting in the fourth-most contests on the team (36). Finished the year second in RBIs (13) and walks (15). At-the-plate went 28-of-110 for .255 batting average good enough for fifth on the squad. Also completed his second season at NCCU with the fifth best on-base percentage, .354. In the field boasted the highest fielding percentage on the team .978 along with only 1 error in the outfield, with senior Robert Landis close behind at .970. Started the home schedule off with a bang, with solo shot to right field, and a single to left field , adding to a 2-for-4 day at the plate with his first 2 RBIs of the season. Started the season with a six-game hitting streak batting .471 at-the-plate. Recorded his lone double of the season against Campbell University on March 11 in a 2-for-4 effort. April 9-13 went 5-for-13 (.384) in a 3-game span with 3 RBI and 3 walks. Also used his strong arm to throw out a Coppin State runner in the bottom of the 10th. April 24 vs. Florida A&M went 2-for-5 at-the-dish with 2 RBIs. Ended his second season at NCCU with a five-game hitting streak going 5-for-15 with a .333 batting average with his final 2 RBIs of the year during that span.
