2009: Only player on the team to start and play all 41 games, starting 37 contests at first base, 2 games at catcher, and had 2 outings at third base. Got the nod in five different places in the order from third down to the seven slot. Nominated for 2009 NCCSIA All-State team and 2009 All-Independent Team. Had 19-game hitting streak that lasted from April 9 to May 9. In that 21-game span batted .343 at-the-plate and sported an on-base percentage of .451. Ended the season with the third-best batting average (.283), tied for the team-high in home runs (2), tied for second on the team with 13 RBIs, also second on team with 158 plate appearances, 23 runs scored, and 7 doubles. Tied Justin Goodson for third on the team in steals going 7-for-7, and racked up 7 multiple hit games. Was hit-by-pitch 12 times which led the squad. With a runner on third and less than 2 outs went 8-for-12 at the plate. On the field, was third on the team with a .969 fielding percentage. Feb. 21 went 2-for-3 with 1 run and 1 RBU at Savannah State in the final game of the HBCU Classic. In the Eagles home opener recorded his first double of the season against Savannah State going 2-for-3 with a run scored on March 7. The following day 1-for-2 with a 3-run homer along with one walk and getting hit by a pitch. March 31 against Duke 1-for-3 with an RBI double. April 10 at Virginia State 2-for-4 at the dish scoring twice along with 2 RBIs. His sixth multiple hit game, came April 24 against Florida A&M went 2-for-3 with 2 runs and a double.

2008: Rookie season, made 21 starts in four different positions, primarily at catcher. Started 17 games at catcher, three games at first base, and one at second base. Led the team with 189 putouts, and just six errors, while only allowing three passed balls. Third highest fielding percentage on team (.958). Third-best on-base percentage (.422). Also sported a .286 slugging percentage. Finished sixth on team with .245 batting average. Tied for fourth on squad with 7 RBIs. Highlight game April 20 against Georgia State, went 1-for-3 with a double, driving in 3 runs. Three days later, brought in another RBI against UNC-Wilmington. Another standout game March 15 versus Savannah State, went 1-for-1 with an RBI double and reached base 3 times in that contest courtesy a walk and a hit-by-pitch. That performance saw his batting average reach its highest point at .357. Ended the season by getting a hit in four out of the last five games.

High School (East Wake H.S.): Earned All-Conference honors.
