WINGATE, N.C. - North Carolina Central University sophomore James Kukat placed seventh at the Wingate University Invitational to lead the Eagles to a fourth-place team finish on Saturday (Sept. 13) in Wingate, N.C.

Kukat ran the 6.2 mile (10k) course in 34 minutes, 35 seconds. NCCU junior Brandon Jones finished 13th with a time of 35:29.

NCCU junior Desinia Johnson was the top Lady Eagle runner, finishing the 3.7 mile (6k) course in 25:54.

The NCCU women placed 10th out of 16 teams.
