Christina Harris was hired as NCCU Assistant Track and Field coach in August 2008. She spent three years as Graduate Assistant under the guidance of NCCU Head Track and Field Coach Michael Lawson, where she coached both sprinters and cross country athletes. Harris is a USA Track and Field Certified Coach. Through Harris' matriculation through NCCU, Harris was a stellar track and field athlete. She received numerous awards in both athletics and academics. Harris received 14 All CIAA athletic honors; eight All CIAA academic honors and she was a four -time NCAA track and field All-American. In 2005, Harris received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and then in 2008 received her Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. She is a Licensed School Counselor. She is also a member of Who's Who amongst Professional Women. Harris also works in Academic Support at NCCU, where she serves as a professional tutor for the Athletics Department. Harris enjoys assisting student-athletes not only their athlete career, but also their development into productive citizens. |
