Soaring to NCAA Division I
On Wednesday, November 16, 2005, the North
Carolina Central University Board of Trustees voted unanimously approving
the University to move forward with making an application to the NCAA to
reclassify its athletics program to Division I and Division I-AA (now Championship
Subdivision) in football.
